The spark for The Symphony Collection came from Prof. Vicky Ann Cremona’s captivating research project on the hidden scenery and forgotten archives of The Royal Opera House (Teatru Rjal) in Valletta. Born from limestone and song in 1866, this Neoclassical landmark stood as a beacon of culture in the Mediterranean. Though its grand arches were shattered during WWII in 1942, its spirit and iconic columns remain an enduring symbol of strength, drama, and artistic beauty.
Supporting Maltese Research & Heritage Preservation
Fundamental academic projects like Prof. Cremona’s are made possible through the Research, Innovation and Development Trust (RIDT) at the University of Malta Valletta Campus.
