The Inspiration
The Maltese islands are renowned for their limestone and its charming soft colours is portrayed on this façade. The roof terrace is a typical space to adore the Mediterranean all-year-round sun and to follow village life and feasts from above. Cement tiles are used on the roof depicting a chess board for more family fun. The majestic Maltese door stands in welcoming and protection, elegantly painted in sage-mint green, along with all the apertures, giving a feel of warmth and timeless style to the house. The inviting balconies are guarded with elaborate Wrought Iron works, a craft that is also build on heritage patterns and craftsmanship.

Blaze the whippet is whizzing around the back alley waiting for his afternoon biscuit whilst Boris the ginger cat never gives up his cosy windowsill space by the Christmas tree.

The Construction of the House
This Maltese Town House Advent Calendar is made of solid cardboard with luxury paper finish and gold foil. It is delicately made by hand compartment by compartment. Handle with care and keep away from water and humid corners. Every house is unique as it is hand assembled. The house was first sketched and a technical drawing was created for the miniature home. Each element is than created and the house started taking shape with the 24 compartments, windows and doors! The design and concept is created in Malta by Tettiera.
