Historically, tea in India was viewed as a herbal medicine, rather than as a beverage for taste. Some chai spice blends still in current use are derived from Ayurvedic medical texts. Popular spices include anise, cinnamon, clove, cardamom, peppercorn and ginger. Traditional preparation actually calls for the spices, milk and leaves to be simmered over sustained heat, rather than steeped in preheated water. In India, chai is served in little clay cups from chai carts. After enjoying your tea, the cups are shattered on the ground and allowed to compost – an earth-friendly alternative to paper or plastic cups.

Tempting Raspberry  is a blend of fresh, crisp green tea from China with sweetly tart red raspberry flavour.  The genus Raspberry consists of over 200 distinct species, however, only two of these are presently cultivated. The first mention of raspberry comes from the people of Troy (Helen perhaps?), located in modern-day Turkey. Its original name was ‘ida’ – a reference to the mountain on which it was first spotted. The medicinal properties believed to cluster in its leaves were of more interest to its early users than the sweet, red fruit. Today, you can find red raspberries, as well as black, purple and golden.

Gunpowder is a classic green tea from the Zhejiang province in China. As the name implies, Gunpowder tea is made up of leaves hand-rolled into tiny pellets. These resemble gunpowder, and give this tea its distinct name.

Gunpowder is a very famous tea, inside and outside of China. Gunpowder is widely consumed throughout the Middle East, often blended with fresh mint and sugar. In China, this tea is called Green Pearl tea; the tight roll of the leaves helps retain its flavour and aroma for much longer than many other greens. A delicate shine on the pellets indicate the tea is quite fresh.

The “scenting” process has been known for more than 1,000 years. The tea is flavoured “naturally” through the addition of fresh jasmine flowers. The tea’s leaf is dark green in colour with silvery tips and a few jasmine flowers added. After drying, the flowers are collected again from the tea. Premium quality.

Experience a floral summer with our Jasmine Garden Iced Tea. Crafted from a luxurious blend of white tea, Jasmine green tea, rosehips, Butterfly Pea Blue flower and Lavender blooms, this iced tea offers a symphony of flavours and enhances your wellbeing.

The white tea is high in antioxidants whilst green tea is a great detoxifier. Butterfly Pea flowers are known for their stunning blue hue and antioxidant properties making this a perfect blend of refreshment and wellness.

Each sack produces 1.5lt of fresh iced tea. Place 1 tea sack in an empty jug. Cover the tea sack with boiling water and let it steep for 2 minutes. Continue filling the jug with room temperature water. Let it infuse overnight in a refrigerator – wake up to find a jug of freshly-infused healthy iced tea! Do not infuse for more than 24 hours. Finish off your infused iced tea with fresh blueberries and peaches!

For example Matcha Latte: Mix 1 spoon Matcha ’n Shake with 50 ml hot water and add 250 ml hot, frothed vanilla soy milk. There you go, the Matcha Latte is ready!
Or Matcha Ice-Shake: Fill a 250 ml glass with ice, in cubes or crushed, and pour soy milk up to the brim. Pour the contents into the blender, add 3 teaspoons Matcha ’n Shake and blend for 30 seconds.
