It’s Christmas! And we love our warm cups of tea during this festive season! We have jazzed up our tea with Rooibos Vanilla, Masala Chai, orange and wine resulting into a surprisingly indulgent warm cup of chai wine.
Follow the recipe below to brew 5 Litres:
1.2 Litres of Tettiera Rooibos Vanilla-Flavoured
1 Litre of Tettiera Masala Chai Tea
2 bottles of Red Wine – Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon
3 tablespoons of raisins
4 large tablespoons of Maltese Honey
1 Orange Peel chopped
2 tablespoons of Demerara sugar.
How to brew:
Start off by brewing the Rooibos Vanilla tisane followed by the Masala Chai and gradually add to a large pot. Simmer on low heat and immediately add the raisins. Continue brewing all the teas. Then add the honey, stir until dissolved. Add the wine, orange peel and simmer for 30 minutes. Add demerara sugar to taste and simmer a bit more – 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm.
