Local artist STEPHANIE BORG™ and TETTIERA™ – a new brand of artisan loose-leaf tea – have joined forces to reintroduce the tea ritual in the daily lives of consumers whilst offering locally-inspired vibrant art that enhances the soul of any home.
The TETTIERA™ packaging has been designed by local artist STEPHANIE BORG™. Inspired by traditional Maltese tiles, the artist kept the various colour tones
subdued so as to reflect the different types of tea and its calming nature.
Inspired by the Maltese generations of old TETTIERA ™ is a new brand of artisan loose-leaf tea carefully sourced from tea plantations around the world, and inspired by local flavours such as the Maltese Carob. The brand name is inspired by the traditional Maltese word for teapot – tettiera. TETTIERA™, a well-being Concept Brand will encourage consumers to rediscover the tea ritual. Tea lovers around the world will vouch for tea’s energising effect. Sipping on a good cup of tea is like pressing the pause button on life encouraging reflection and self-love. TETTIERA™ offers 17 varieties of loose leaf tea packaged in airtight pouches, packed in Kraft paper tubes. Tea Collections include Black and Oolong tea, Flavoured Black tea, Green and White tea, Chai and Rooibos as well as Herbal infusions.

STEPHANIE BORG™ is a self-taught artist, graphic designer and surface pattern designer. Her art has been mostly influenced by her living experiences of living in Italy and the Sultanate of Oman, as well as her keen observation and absorbance of Maltese daily life and culture.
STEPHANIE BORG™ has exhibited both in Malta and abroad and has a permanent display of enlarged artworks at the Magazino Hall at the Valletta Waterfront. Her work can be found in private collections in various countries around the world. Stephanie’s lifelong fascination with old Maltese patterned tiles inspires her Malta Tile Collection. Her Gift Wrap Paper and the newly-launched Placemats are amongst the artist’s products that depict her meticulous ink drawings of traditional Maltese doors. For her ink drawings, the artist uses a time-consuming technique whereby layers of ink are applied to achieve the desired effect, depth and opacity. Each brushstroke is an irreversible trial but the artist finds this more thrilling than risky.
Today the artist will be launching a newly renovated boutique studio in Rabat, a fresh collection that includes mixed media illustrations on espresso sets and placemats and, last but not least, an online shop which includes more than 300 items. www.stephanieborg.com
