This extra virgin olive oil is produced from olives harvested by hand in the traditional fashion and milled at a modern olive press (oleificio) not more than a kilometre from the actual olive grove.
The vicinity of the olive mill permits the olives to be pressed within hours from harvest, ensuring an excellent and superior olive oil, guaranteeing the oil’s quality. The olives are ‘cold pressed’ at ambient temperature, usually around 27°C using modern, state of the art, stainless steel equipment, ensuring healthier oil, produced in a sanitary environment.
This olive oil is of a beautiful green colour, with a very fruity aroma, pungent and slightly peppery. It is derived principally from the olive variety (cultivar) Maresca, which is profuse in the South Eastern corner of Sicily, Italy.
The small olive grove 2 hectares from where this olive oil is produced is located in Contrada Valpura, just off the town of Ispica in the Ragusa province – an area renowned for its olive groves.

This extra virgin olive oil is produced from olives harvested by hand in the traditional fashion and milled at a modern olive press (oleificio) not more than a kilometre from the actual olive grove.
The vicinity of the olive mill permits the olives to be pressed within hours from harvest, ensuring an excellent and superior olive oil, guaranteeing the oil’s quality. The olives are ‘cold pressed’ at ambient temperature, usually around 27°C using modern, state of the art, stainless steel equipment, ensuring healthier oil, produced in a sanitary environment.
This olive oil is of a beautiful green colour, with a very fruity aroma, pungent and slightly peppery. It is derived principally from the olive variety (cultivar) Maresca, which is profuse in the South Eastern corner of Sicily, Italy.
The small olive grove 2 hectares from where this olive oil is produced is located in Contrada Valpura, just off the town of Ispica in the Ragusa province – an area renowned for its olive groves.

Ingredients: hibiscus, grapes, elderberries, flavour, strawberry bits, raspberries.

Simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes and then on low heat for 1 hour. Ladle it into heat proof glasses and serve warm. Garnish with any available fresh berries.
